The codes and languages in the relationship between choreographers and dancers

We realized that during the Danslab researches all the beauty, thoughts and questions regarding the relationship between dancers and choreographer were incredibly explosive. We have come to perceive this as a potential area for the creation of dance and would like to invite you to get a closer look within a surrounding where perspectives and experiences are shared between choreographers, choreographers and dancers and the dancers themselves.

• How do we experience working relationships between dancers and their choreographer?
• What is the difference between a research situation and a productional phase?
• How do the four choreographer / dancer combinations differ in their approaches and ideas regarding that subject?
• Do recent areas of inspiration and artistic ambition change the relationships with the dancers?
• What are the unspoken areas between them?
• What will this peer-to-peer exchange bring us?
• What makes us content and when do we succeed?

INVITATION
The days of the encounters are open to the public.
We decided to not have a final presentation at the end of each day, but to provide you with the possibility to join in the process:

It will give you a beautiful insiders impression of differing discourses.

FINALLY
Aside from the productional realizations – all choreographers will get the opportunity to engage in an artistic discourse regarding their own personal subject matter. At the beginning of the next season we will bring together all the encounters, at which time we will have the opportunity to discuss the previous cases, experiences and perspectives.
